My Story

As soon as I saw on Instagram the post Henshaws Hundreds Challenge especially when I read What Will You Do as part of Henshaws Hundreds Challenge and heard the powerful music that went with it and watched all of the post I thought WOW I would like to do this. Henshaws is a Specialist College where they offer various courses for young people aged 18 to 25 with special educational needs and disabilities. My daughter Lauren is undertaking an Autism Education Programme and she has nearly completed her second year. All the staff here are wonderful and are so dedicated in making sure that each student reaches their potential and encourages them to get fully involved in life whilst attending there. For us as a family due to Lauren's disability, if Henshaws Specialist College wasn't here, we don't know where in Leeds she would have attended after leaving High School.
