Henshaws offer a life changing service for visually impaired children like me.

Although I have a severe visual impairment, they have shown me that I can still live my dreams, and with their support, I have had the confidence to take part in indoor wall climbing, kayaking, skiing, youth club days and a residential trip where I was able to connect with other visually impaired young people and learn lots of new independent living skills. Henshaws have also arranged for me to have mentoring sessions with bestselling authors, so I can pursue my ambition of becoming an author one day myself!

Most of all Henshaws support me to enjoy my life and have lots of fun!

I find tying my shoelaces very tricky and frustrating, but I am asking for your sponsorship to practise this at least 5 times a week for 2 weeks during the month of June 2023. I am doing this because I want to raise money for Henshaws, so that they can continue to help me and other visually impaired children and young people!
